Researchers from various universities in Europe, America, Asia and Africa are involved in the Credition Research Project. Some of them are in very close contact with each other. At the University of Graz, the University of Graz, the University of Technology and the Medical University are involved in the research project. At the bottom of the page you will find speakers at the congresses of all three research areas.
The Credition Research Project is based at the University of Graz .
University of Graz: It was established in 2011 by Research Rector Prof Dr Peter Scherrer. In 2023, it was transferred to the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Graz. Since then, the Institute of Psychology has coordinated the headquarter for the Graz site. The coordinator is Prof. Dr Aljoscha Neubauer.
Graz University of Technology and Medical University of Graz: From the outset, research was carried out in co-operation with Graz University of Technology and the Medical University of Graz. CreditionLabs have now also been established at these two universities. They are involved in the management of the Credition Research Project.
Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf: The Credition Research Network was set up in cooperation with Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf right from the start.
The scientific management is in the hands of Prof Dr Hans-Ferdinand Angel and Prof Dr Rüdiger J. Seitz.
Network of universities: Over the years, co-operation with various universities has intensified. The network of the Credition Research Project now includes universities in Lyon, Madrid, Munich/Coburg, Rome, Santa Barbara, Sendai and Thessaloniki.
Scientific Advisory Board: There has been a Scientific Advisory Board since the start of the project. This was reconstituted in 2023.
CreditionLabs are part of the Credition Research Network. In a CreditionLab, special importance is attached to the topic of credition in research and application.
Graz University of Technology: In 2018, the first CreditionLab was opened by Research Rector Horst Bischof at Graz University of Technology (located at the Institute of Machine Elements and Development Methodology). The head is Prof Dr Hannes Hick . Here you can find a picture gallery of the opening ceremony.
MedUni Graz: The second CreditionLab was opened in 2024 by Rector Andrea Kurz at the Medical University of Graz (located at the Clinic for Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy: Head Prof Dr Eva Reininghaus). The Credition Research Project has had a scientific advisory board since it was established in 2011. The founding members were Hans-Ferdinand Angel, Peter Holzer (Neuropharmacology/MedUni Graz), Anne Runehov (Philosophy/University of Uppsala) and Rüdiger J. Seitz.
The Advisory Board was reconstituted in connection with the transfer of the Credition Research Project to the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Graz in 2023.
